Aerosport is offering three incredible Gyrocopter models from AutoGyro of Germany.
An autogyro also known as gyroplane, gyrocopter, or rotaplane, is a type of rotorcraft which uses an unpowered rotor in autorotation to develop lift, and an engine-powered propeller, similar to that of a fixed-wing aircraft, to provide thrust. While similar to a helicopter rotor in appearance, the autogyro’s rotor must have air flowing through the rotor disc to generate rotation. Invented by the Spanish engineer Juan de la Cierva to create an aircraft that could fly safely at slow speeds, the autogyro was first flown on 9 January 1923, at Cuatro Vientos Airfield in Madrid.
The MTOsport is the logical development of our successful MT03. There are now more than 800 gyroplanes used successfully worldwide. As the first in the UL- class approved gyro in Germany, the MT03 offers a whole new flying experience.
The Calidus is the ideal addition to our MTOsport. Since its launch in 2009, it enjoys great popularity and completes our product range. As a closed gyro, it is perfect for flight zones with cooler or unstable weather, and it offers its passengers uppermost comfort.
Cavalon – the dawn of a new era: The first side-by-side gyroplane of AutoGyro is a real masterpiece in design, technique and innovation and overcomes all restrictions and limits. Seated side by side it presents its pilot and passenger an uncomparable dimension and comfort.
